16-Year-Old From Illinois Will Enter Ph.D Program This Fall.

While most teens her age are thinking about the prom and possibly applying for college, 16-year-old Thessalonika Arzu-Embry is about to a hit a major milestone in her academic career — she’s entering a Ph.D Program. Arzu-Embry, who started college at the age of 11 after being homeschooled, made headlines at the age of 14 when she earned a bachelor’s degree. She will be entering a Ph.D program in aviation psychology, this fall.

“I feel honored for the opportunity to help others at an early age. I feel very glad to enter college and help people,” Arzu-Embry said.
