This series of photographs by renowned world photographer Eric Lafforgue exemplifies some of the unique methods of hair care employed by various tribes in Ethopia including the Afar, the Hamer and the Karrayyu from northeastern Ethiopia. All of these tribes user butter, red mud and saliva in hair styling for the purposes of vanity and ritual.
