Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Scores Grammy Nomination.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Prominent Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie became a household name overnight when Beyoncé sampled part of a TEDxEuston talk, “We Should All Be Feminists” from the writer on her track “Flawless.” In the speech Adichie states,

We raise girls to see each other as competitors. Not for jobs or for accomplishments, which I think can be a good thing, but for the attention of men.’”

Now, it looks like the popularity of her speech as brought on another honor — a Grammy Nomination. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been nominated for a Grammy award as part of the nomination Beyoncé received for her self-titled album, which she surprised fans with at the end of 2013.
