Multifaceted musician and Janelle Monáe affiliate Jidenna recently performed at the 2nd annual AFRICA’SOUT! celebration in Brooklyn, New York over the weekend. Founded by Artist and Activist, Wangechi Mutu, the event aims to support the diversity of Africa by amplifying LGBTQ voices.

Jidenna hit the stage wearing a vest and trousers designed by Nicolette Orji aka Nikki Billie Jean. Orji, a designer and creative director, launched her site All Things Ankara to celebrate and highlight the many iterations of Ankara print in the fashion world. She also sells her own designs for both men and women on the site, and will be launching a menswear line in the very near future.
