Lawyers For Camille Cosby File Emergency Motion to Delay Her Upcoming Deposition.

Following reports that Bill Cosby had been arrested and charged with sexual assault, many wondered if Cosby’s wife of over 50 years, Camille, would break her silence over the mountain of accusations against her husband.

The arrest came just weeks after the Cosbys’ legal team filed a defamation suit against seven of his accusers. The suit was filed in response to an earlier suit brought on by lawyers representing the seven accusers. The suit claimed that Cosby “drugged and/or sexually assaulted each” of them. Cosby also filed a defamation suit against model and entrepreneur Beverly Johnson, one of his most prominent accusers.

On New Year’s Eve, Camille Cosby was ordered to testify in the lawsuit filed by 7 of her husband’s accusers, after a judge rejected attempts to quash her deposition altogether. She was set to testify this Wednesday, but according to new reports, the Cosby legal team is attempting to delay the deposition.

Over the past year, many rumors have circulated claiming that Camille Cosby was fully aware of her husband’s infidelity. And recent reports claim the the usually stoic Camille is “livid” as a result of what she has gone through with Bill Cosby thus far.

Cosby, who was released on $1 million bail the same day that he was arrested, is facing a charge of aggravated indecent assault, stemming from the alleged assault of Andrea Constand back in 2004. Constand was then an employee of Temple University, where Cosby attended classes for a brief period in the 1960’s, and remained thoroughly involved with over the years. Temple remains the sole institution that had affiliations with Cosby, that hasn’t commented on the accusations against him, or stripped him of any honorary degrees or other accolades.
