“The song is basically about our culture being stolen and then us having access to it in small, controlled doses. It’s like we’re only allowed to do our art in the beginning while we’re creating it and then once it’s found its light and proven to be what’s “next,” it’s then hijacked and we have to find something new or even worse stick to a really subpar version of said artistic expression, which often times lacks nutrients, in order to be successful in the mainstream.”
