Solange delivered an hour long keynote address at Yale, as part of Everybody Still Wants To Fly”: Activism In Pop From Prince To Solange, a round table discussion event at the university. Talk featured Yale professor Daphne A. Brooks, who interviewed Solange about a range of topic — from her critically acclaimed album A Seat At The Table to the artistry of Prince and the role of activism in music and popular culture.

“Getting the chance to sit down with Professor Daphne Brooks was a wonderful experience,” Solange said. “I loved being able to unpack and share the layers of the making A Seat At The Table, and in return, it provided me with an examination and incredible insight into to my process and experiences while creating this album.
