Originally from Kansas City, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear have brought their soulful, modern folk music to venues all over the country. The duo, which is made up of Madisen, 26, and his 63-year-old Ruth Ward, were first propelled into the music industry when they scored a record contract after a music exec saw them perform for at a private party in Alabama, thrown by fashion designer Billy Reid.

Since then, the pair have slowly been making waves in elite music spaces, garnering positive reviews from critics and tastemakers.
