Titi Branch, co-founder of Miss Jessie’s has passed away at the age of 45, from an apparent suicide, according to NV Magazine.

A family friend has also confirmed her passing, while her sister and co-founder posted this tweet.

Titi Branch launched the pioneering haircare brand Miss Jessie’s with her sister Miko in 2004, after having run a popular curly haircare salon in Brooklyn, since 1997. The brand is named for their grandmother.

Titi is survived by her sister, her parents, her extended family, and her boyfriend.
