Viola Davis Teams Up With Debra Martin Chase To Produce ABC Drama Inspired by Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

Kym Worthy

Viola Davis’ portrayal and her input into the depiction of Annalise Keating on the Peter Nowalk/Shonda Rhimes ABC drama How to Get Away With Murder has turned the character into everyone’s favorite anti-hero. Now it looks like the the actress that brought us that moving wig scene will be delving deeper into a new character on another legal drama for the ABC network. JuVee Productions, Viola Davis’ company alongside her producing partner Julius Tennon has teamed up with producer Debra Martin Chase and he company Chase Martin Productions to bring viewers a new show, with the lead character based on prolific Michigan prosecutor Kym Worthy. Worthy, who recently made headlines with her decision to charge Theodore Wafer with the murder of Renisha McBride, has been the prosecutor in Wayne County, Michigan for 10 years. Over 90% of the cases that Worthy has brought to trial have resulted in a conviction.

There is no word yet on when we’ll expect to hear or see more about upcoming project.
