Filmmaker Ava DuVernay has teamed up with MTV for #thetalk, a way to continue much-needed conversation about race via social media. From 9am to 9pm today, MTV will also be broadcasting all of their programming in black-and-white.

Celebrities, activists, and politicians, including Senator Cory Booker, and Common will also be participating in segments throughout today.
