Mark your calenders, at 8 p.m. EST on June 24th the film “Freedom Summer: Mississippi 1964” premieres on PBS. A Sundance official film selection, the documentary chronicles the atrocities that African Americans faced in the Jim Crow south, specifically of the Freedom Summer of 1964. The film will also be available online after it has aired, so definitely make time to watch.
