Brought to you by black filmmaker Lu Asfaha, Out Here is a new web series that highlights the perspectives of artists of color who live and work in Toronto.

In the latest installment of Out Here, we meet writer and spoken wordsmith Zeinab Aidid. Energetic and thoughtful, Aidid details her experiences as both a black and Muslim woman in Muslim-centered spaces. She also takes on the issue of shadeism, something that she says is often met with denial and pushback.
