“50 Shades of Black” is a coffee table book, a blog, a media experience and, an ongoing conversation about color in a way that manages to be all-encompassing, yet nuanced. It was founded by Carlton Mackey, an artist who also serves as the Director of the Ethics & the Arts Program at the Emory University Center for Ethics. “50 Shades of Black” also features contributions by artists, writers and other creatives of all types.
