Yelitsa Jean-Charles is a Haitian-American artist studying illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Check out her latest series of sketches which feature black women fused with nature.
These pieces were inspired by the influence that the natural hair movement has played in her life. These images capture the beauty of black women and celebrate natural hair. Many of her other works are inspired by her identity as a black woman.
