Robert Pruitt is an American Artist who lives and works in Houston, Texas. His work employs many different mediums to mix the contemporary, the historical, and the futuristic in terms of African-American life and culture. His series “Women”, which showed at the Studio Museum in Harlem last year, features 20 large-scale drawings of African-American women inspired by youth culture, hip-hop, and Science Fiction.
