IKEA recently unveiled pieces from its upcoming Överallt collection at this year’s Design Inaba festival in Cape Town, South Africa.
The new collaboration combines Scandinavian and African design through the work of IKEA’s in-house designers and a group of designers from five African nations.
IKEA first announced the Överallt collection two years ago, and now it’s set to hit stores on May 1st. The furniture giant worked closely with Issa Diabaté (Ivory Coast), Hend Riad and Mariam Hazem (Egypt), Laduma Ngxokolo (South africa), Bethan Rayner and Naeem Biviji (Kenya), Sindiso Khumalo (South Africa), Renee Rossouw (South Africa), Bibi Seck (Senegal), and Selly Raby Kane (Senegal).
Överallt features a broad range of items, from kitchenware starting at €4.99 (approx. $5.70 USD) to furnishing will be priced at a maximum of €69 (approx. $78 USD).
