This past Saturday, CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield hosted a segment on street harassment featuring comedian Amanda Seales, and author Steven Santagati. Santagati, the author of “The Manual…A True Bad Boy Explains…” and a self-described “bad boy” himself, made some comments that elicited the side-eye heard ’round the world.
Santagati first asserted that, as a man, he definitely knows how all men think, and then he dropped this gem:
“The bottom line is this, ladies: you would not care if all these guys were hot. They would be bolstering your self-esteem bolstering your ego. There’s nothing more than a woman loves to hear than how pretty she is.”
Seales, responded by schooling him on the reality of what many women experience for simply daring to exist in public spaces. Watch below.
