“Dark Girls“, a documentary by Bill Duke and D. Channsin Berry, aired on Oprah’s OWN network in 2012, as a part of the ongoing discussion about colorism and how it affects black women.

Duke recently announced a book of the same name, based documentary, featuring beautiful images of dark-skinned black women, with photography by Barron Claiborne. The lovely Lupita Nyong’o covers the book, which also features Sheryl Lee Ralph and Brandi among over 70 other women in beautiful images, talking about their experiences.
