Kahran and Regis Bethencourt, the couple behind the viral “AfroArt” series, just inked a major book deal.

The Bethencourts created the series to celebrate young black girls and showcase the beauty natural of natural hair. They partnered with St. Martin’s press to create a coffee table book full of their stunning images.

“We are so excited,” said Kahran Bethencourt. “It’s been a journey trying to get here, but we’re here and we’re ready.”

“We have been photographing kids with natural hair for some time now. We still got those messages with parents saying ‘I show my daughters your page so they can love their natural hair,’” he added. “A lot of times they go to school and they feel like their hair is not beautiful or they cover it up. We wanted to do a series that really showcases the beauty and versatility of Afro hair.”

The upcoming book, which has Halo as a working title, is set to hit shelves sometime in 2019.
