Eclectic songstress Janelle Monáe recently attended the 2015 Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner And Auction in a red Appliqué coat from designer Tracy Reese’s Fall 2015 collection. She completed the look with pants by Vatanika and bright red lips.
The Gordon Parks Foundation works to preserve the works of pioneering African American photographer Gordon Parks. Parks, who passed away in 2006, is known for his iconic portraits of African American life and history. He also co-founded Essence Magazine.
The foundation’s annual awards dinner sees many celebrities and supporters. This year’s event was also attended by Liya Kebede, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sherry Bronfman.
