Leslie Jones Calls Out Fashion Industry For Refusing to Dress Her. Christiano Siriano Steps In.

Despite the fact that she totally slayed on her recent ELLE cover, the fashion industry is still giving Leslie Jones a hard time. The actress and comedian recently took to Twitter to call out designers who refused to lend her a dress to wear to the upcoming Ghostbusters premiere.

Amid a barrage of sympathetic replies, Christian Siriano responded enthusiastically, in emoji form, and Jones soon reached out to him.

Siriano is a perfect match for Jones, as he’s helped quite a few black stars kill it on the red carpet in the past, including Gabourey Sidibe, Samira Wiley, Danielle Brooks, Zendaya, Solange, Teyonah Parris, and many more.

The designer also recently launched a new plus-size collaboration line with Lane Bryant, with a series of ads starring Brooks. Wiley also featured in ads for Christian Siriano this past season.

All in all, Jones is in pretty good hands, and I’m excited to see her red carpet premiere look. She also hinted at possibly outright naming some of the designers who rejected her in the future. According to comments under the tweet, Versace appears to be one of the offenders.
