With a pretty distinctive last name, it should come as no surprise that self-described ” 2nd-Generation Music-Maker” Alex Isley is descended from R&B/Soul music royalty. Alex’s father, Ernie Isley, makes up one part of the Isley Brothers, the famed Soul group that was reintroduced to a new generation through their collaborations with R. Kelly.

A classically trained musician, who counts Ella Fitzgerald and Kurt Ellin as inspiration, Alex Isley’s sound mixes the spirit of her soulful forebears with a modern, youthful energy.
