The upcoming New York comedienne is an Upright Citizens Brigade Theater regular and was even recommended by Key & Peele for Saturday Night Live as an example of the ever elusive funny black woman.

Unfortunately, last week, Liza Dye was hit by a train at the Broadway-Lafayette station. She’s kept her self of humor about the whole situation, but she’s also been hit with some serious medical bills and is currently uninsured. She’s currently fundraising and celebrity comedians such as Zach Braff, Wyatt Cenac, and Janeane Garofalo have chipped in and helped to spread the word.
