Melissa Harris-Perry is Now Editor-at-Large at ELLE.com.

Melissa Harris-Perry

After Melissa Harris-Perry ended her 4-year stint at MSNBC in a very public manner, fans and followers were wondering what would be next for the educator and host.

Many of us, myself included, predicted that Harris-Perry’s new media home would likely be at an online outlet. It turns out we were correct.

Earlier this evening, ELLE.com made the official announcement that Melissa Harris-Perry would be joining the site as their new Editor-at-Large.

“Joining ELLE.com is an opportunity to combine my expertise as a scholar, my commitments as a public intellectual, and my interests as a woman,” said Harris-Perry. “Politics, economics, and inequality will be important to the stories we tell, but so too will culture, community, family, and even fashion. I am thrilled to tell my loyal television audience where they can find me and to introduce myself to brand new audiences, all while telling the stories of extraordinary women and girls.”

I’m definitely excited to see what Harris-Perry has in store for ELLE.com in the future.
