‘Blackish’ to air episode about police brutality on black teen.
There won’t be as many laughs as usual on the Feb. 24 episode of “Blackish.”
The ABC sitcom about a black family will tackle the issue of police brutality in the black community, a subject usually reserved for the news or dramas, the Daily News has confirmed.
“Unfortunately the things that we are dealing with in this episode are not new, especially to the black and brown community,” “Blackish” star Anthony Anderson told Variety, which first reported the news.
“It’s something that’s been going on for quite some time.”

Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw Honored by the American Bar Foundation.
Kimberlé W. Crenshaw, a professor of law at Columbia University and a professor of law at the University of California, Los Angeles, will receive the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.
