A few months ago, at the age of 49, Remi Abere became the oldest Nigerian woman to scale Mount Kilimanjaro. When she turns 50 next month, she’ll attempt to climb the Kilimanjaro once again, this time in honor of the women and girls who might never have the opportunity to.
The upcoming climb is part of the ClimbWithRemi project, a new intiative that Remi created in collaboration with a team of 6 women.
The project is raising funds in hopes of helping Nigerian refugee women living in Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps.
