Utah Representative Mia Love, the first black Republican woman elected to Congress, will be returning donations totaling $1000 back to Earl Holt. Holt is an alleged white supremacists, whose writings reportedly inspired Charleston terrorist Dylann Roof.

Holt is the president of the Council of Conservative Citizens, which The Southern Poverty Law Center identifies as a hate group.

Mia Love’s campaign manager, Holly Richardson, tells The Salt Lake Tribune that the donations were unsolicited.

“We do not want to associate with anyone that sees Mia — or any other American — as less than human,” Richardson said.

According to The Salt Lake City Tribune, Holt has given over $60,000 in campaign donations to Republican politicians.
