Revlon announced Thursday the removal of certain harmful chemicals from it’s products. Two long-chain parabens, as well as formaldehyde will no longer be one of the ingredients in certain products from the cosmetics company.
The move was initiated in response to a petition from the environmental non-profit, Environmental Working Group. Long-chain parabens have been linked to endocrine disorders, while formaldehyde is a carcinogen. The Environmental Working Group hopes that other companies will follow Revlon’s lead.
