Tyra Banks is finally answering to a pretty long running rumor by admitting to having had plastic surgery on her nose early in her career.

While celebrities have started opening up about the work they’ve had done — ranging from breast augmentation to fillers, it seems as if talking about nose jobs is the last taboo.

Banks made the big reveal in her upcoming memoir, Perfect Is Boring.

“I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching,” she wrote in an excerpt, shared with PEOPLE. “” could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”

The former model also took on the #wokeuplikethis aesthetic.

“As a model, I needed makeup,” said Banks. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It leveled my playing field. Gisele, you don’t need it? I do! And we’re both modeling for Victoria’s Secret.”
