
The 2015 Golden Globe nominations were announced Thursday morning and Quvenzhané Wallis, Viola Davis, and Ava DuVernay are among the nominees. Wallis was nominated for “Best Actress in a Motion Picture- Comedy or Musical” in Annie, Davis for “Best Actress – TV Drama” for How to Get Away With Murder. Ava DuVernay broke into the boy’s club with a “Best Director” nomination for Selma. The film, which was also also nominated for “Best Motion Picture – Drama,” received nominations in multiple categories with it’s star David Oyelowo, also being nominated for “Best Motion Picture – Drama” and John Legend & Common receiving nominations for their song “Glory,” from the film’s soundtrack. Uzo Aduba also received a nomination for “Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries, or TV movie” for her role as Suzanne in Orange is the New Black.
