Top model Anok Yai stars in the latest Fall 2023 campaign by Acne Studios. The striking set of images, shot by Carlijn Jacobs, capture the gritty, metropolitan energy of the collection.

This latest set of images follows another set of viral images for Acne Studios, featuring Kylie Jenner. The Kardashian sister’s snaps were also shot by Jacobs.

Yai herself is no stranger to going viral. Her career was unexpectedly kicked off by a series street style snaps shot by photographer Steve Hall while she attended Howard University Homecoming in 2017. The super viral photo caught the attention of modeling agencies, fashion brands, and the media. Anok Yai’s Instagram account gained thousands of followers almost overnight, and she became an internet sensation.

As a result of the social media buzz, Anok Yai was soon contacted by modeling agencies and fashion industry professionals. She signed with Next Management, a renowned modeling agency, which marked the official beginning of her modeling career.

Anok Yai’s career took off rapidly after signing with Next Management. She made her runway debut in 2017 during Paris Fashion Week, walking for Prada. Her striking appearance and unique presence on the runway garnered significant attention and acclaim.

In addition to striking a pose for Acne, Yai also starred in a campaign for H&M’s 2023 collaboration with Paco Rabanne. Her most recent runway credits include Chanel, Mugler, and Miu Miu.
