Since the 90’s Barron Claiborne’s massive body of work includes a wide variety of subjects and several iconic subjects. Many of his images pay homage to his African heritage and his Southern heritage. In his series’ “Black Venus”, “Saints”, and “Goddesses” black women are depicted in images that are mix of sensuality, raw flesh, mythology and religion.
