Broadway actress Ciara Renee has just been added to the growing list of stars set to play superheroes for an upcoming, still unnamed, CW Flash/Arrow spinoff.

Hawkgirl is a character who has been reincarnated several times and played by different women. Renee will be playing a later incarnation of Hawkgirl, whose real name is Kendra Saunders.

Renee, who made her broadway debut in 2013 in the new production of Big Fish, replaced Patina Miller for the role of lead player in Pippin last year. She has also appeared on a recent of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
