We love the ‘Shades’ singer Chrisette Michele. Her album ‘Better’ was up for Best R&B Album at this year’s Grammys and although she didn’t win the accolade she’s still a winner in our book.
Road to the Grammys
Chrisette began singing vocals for popular hip hop artists such as Kanye and Nas.
Her debut album ‘I Am’ came out in the summer of 2007.
The following year she collaborated with the the always funky and fresh “The Roots.”
She was the sexy voice you heard on the “Aston Martin Music” track.
Her second album ‘Epiphany” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
Chrisette won a Grammy in 2009 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song “Be Ok.”
