Newcomer Awet Aleu shines in a stylish, chic editorial for Blanc Magazine, issue 23. Shot by New York-based photographer Matthew Priestley and styled by Willyum Beck, Aleu sports looks by Fendi, Ferragamo, Loewe, Maison Alaia, MM6 Maison Margiela, Schiaparelli and more.
Aleu is a native of Buffalo New York and of South Sudanese descent. She made her fashion debut with a strong start in 2022, when she first walked for Saint Laurent. So far this season, Aleu has graced the runways for Prabal Gurung and Sandy Liang in New York and Roberto Cavalli in Milan. Speaking to Fashionista earlier this year, the up-and-comer revealed her hopes to walk for Versace and Chanel.
“Being on the runway always feels so surreal,”” said Aleu. It’s an incredible feeling, and I just tell myself that I can do this and am going to nail it!”
