Christiane Taubira is a French politician and the current Minister of Justice in France. Taubira was instrumental in establishing a 2001 law that recognized the Atlantic Slave Trade as a Crime Against Humanity. She also fought for Marriage Equality in France. Her proposal for marriage equality in France is known as the “Taubira Law”.
