Ethiopian runner Genzebe Dibaba broke a 22-year-old world record in the women’s 1500 on Friday. She completed the three lap race in 3:50.07, beating the former world record holder, Qu Yunxia, who came in at 3:50.46 back in 1993, by almost half a second.

Dibaba, who comes from a family of running siblings, and is the youngest, now holds four world records after Friday’s win. Her sister Tirunesh Dibaba, is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and world 5,000 meters world record holder.
