First Look. Florence Kasumba as The Wicked Witch of the East in NBC’s ‘Emerald City.’

After the success of The Wiz Live!, NBC is headed back to Oz again. This time with Emerald City, a darker, musical take on L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz , directed by Tarsem Singh.

Ugandan-born, German actress Florence Kasumba looks stunning in a recently released image via NBC. Kasumba, who you might recognize from Captain America: Civil War, is set to play the Wicked Witch of the East.

Created by Matthew Arnold, Emerald City also stars Vincent D’Onofrio as the Wizard, Joely Richardson as Glinda the Good Witch, Adria Arjona as Dorothy, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen as love interest Lucas.

There’s no word yet on a premiere date for the series.
