Princess Shyngle recently posted an image of her arm hooked up to an IV drip to Instagram with the caption: “Hospital bound…Kidney disease healing mercies oh Lord need your prayers ya’ll.”
The 24-year-old Gambian actress and producer, who boasts a 22-inch waist and 44-inch hips makes no secret about her love of waist trainers. But, is it possible that this popular fitness accessory also caused her kidney disease?
Waist trainers, which have been endorsed by a slew of celebrities over the past few years, have also been warned against by medical professionals and even fitness gurus. Long term wear can cause crush organs, fracture ribs, and compress lungs, among many other ailments.
The actress’s condition was unknown after her last social media message, but after fans kept posting comments warning against her frequent use of waist trainers, she decided to speak out and educate.
On a normal day I would just ignore everything people are saying bout my illness , but I decided not to because of two reasons 1: to make it very clear to everyone that waist training had absolutely nothing to do with me having a kidney infection and 2: to educate women out there about kidney infection, the causes and how to prevent it so it don’t happen to any1 because it can be deadly.
