The British Broadcasting Co. recently announced, at it’s 25th anniversary celebration, the commission of filmmaker Sophie Fiennes to direct a Grace Jones documentary, titled Song of My Life.
The documentary, which has been in the works for seven years, will be the fashion icon and entertainer’s first-ever. It has been described as “a cinematic journey into the private and public worlds of Grace Jones, mixing intimate personal footage with unique staged musical sequences.”
Jones, who has been credited with influencing everyone from Beyonce, to Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj will also be releasing a memoir in the near future with published Simon & Schuster.
A trilogy box set of her iconic Disco music will be released on May 4th this year.
