Many Plus-size brands have been understandably criticized in the past for a blatant lack of size diversity in their marketing. When it comes to plus-size models, the standard size 8-12 hourglass with a flat stomach, simply isn’t cutting it for customers who come in a wide range of sizes and shapes.
Lane Bryant is part of a growing number of brands ushering in a new era in plus-size representation. The famed retailer, which has worked with influencers and celebrities in the past, recently shared a new set of ads featuring inspirational women in the field of fitness, wearing looks from Lane Bryant’s LIVI activewear line. The ads, which are part of the brand’s #ThisBody campaign, feature yoga teacher Jessamyn Stanley, triathlete and coach Krista Henderson, choreographer Jesse Diaz, and body activist Julie Henderson.

The fall installment of the #ThisBody campaign featured Gabourey Sidibe, Danielle Brooks, Ashley Graham, and Candice Huffine.
This latest campaign has drawn a positive response on social media, and also serves as an example of how important customer feedback is. Lane Bryant is clearly listening to its customers.
