When Jimmy Fallon brought the original cast of popular 90’s show Saved by the Bell, two major characters were noticeably missing — Screech and Lisa. The absence of Dustin Diamond wasn’t a major surprise or disappointment given the press coverage he’s received over the past few years, along with rumors of friction between him and his cast mates. But the absence of actress of Lark Voorhies, aka Lisa Turtle, definitely attracted more curiosity.

While some fans thought her rumored mental health issues might have something to do with her absence, a representative for Lark Voorhies made a statement to the The Hollywood Reporter saying that Voorhies couldn’t find the time in her busy schedule to appear.

A rep for Lark Voorhies, the actress who played Lisa in the television series, explained her absence to THR. “Lark would have loved to be part of the [Fallon sketch],” replied Jennifer Wolfson in a statement. “However due to an intense work schedule she was not available.”

Wolfson did not elaborate on Voorhies’ work schedule, but did say that the actress is a “big fan” of Fallon’s Tonight Show.
