Meet Roquois. A Singer. A Songwriter. And a Superhero.

Roquois

Originally hailing from Bowie, Maryland, and currently based in the Washington, D.C. area Roquois is a singer, a songwriter, and an outspoken source of inspiration.

Her unique sound artfully blends R&B, Rock, and Pop to put forth a message of positivity and triumph over adversity. Roquois speaks from personal experiences. She’s been told that she’s “not enough” many times throughout her career. The artist channels her experiences of being told that she’s “not sexy enough” and “not light enough” into her music and into her charity work.

In addition to being a gifted musician, who has been singing since the age of 4, Roquois pours her time and energy into helping others. She uses her music and her talents to spread much-need positive messages to young girls.

“My cape is my voice it gives me flight, my superpowers are my lyrics,” writes the self-described superhero.

Roquois is a also a lover of fashion. She frequently collaborates with designer Cheero Citizen, who makes many of the unique looks worn during her performances. Check out some more images of Roquois below.
