In a partnership launched today, VOZ, the New York-based label founded by Jasmine Aarons, has teamed up with the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women, a division of U.N. Women. The eco-conscious brands seeks to empower indigenous artisans.
As part of the collaboration, Aarons debuted a South American wool poncho — also known as a Manta — available for purchase for $225.00 on VOZ’s website. Twenty percent of proceeds from the sale of each poncho, which is handwoven from organic cotton by Mapuche artisans, will benefit the UN Trust Fund through August.
