
Haitian designers made a grand showing at the Haitian Embassy in Washington, D.C. this past week for a special event during D.C. Fashion Week.
The group show featured designs from Pyer Moss, Azède Jean-Pierre, Victor Glemaud, and Prajjé Oscar.
The Presidents crass comments about Haiti garnered a mention, but the night centered around the artistry and creativity of a diverse group of designers.
Haitian-born designer Prajjé O. Jean Baptiste of Prajjé Oscar unveiled “EZILI,” a collection of gowns featured original prints and embroidery and beading by Haitian women artisans.
