Last November, entrepreneur and former model B. Smith, went missing for nearly 17 hours, just months after she had revealed that she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
After she was found safe and sound, Dan Gasby, her husband and business partner, posted a message to explain the situation and to thank supporters.
Just for the record here’s what B experienced so there are no rumors: B walked from midtown to Harlem to battery park took the ferry rode a bus in Staten Island then the ferry again walked to la parisienne on 7th w58 across from our old address where a friend happened to see her!
Smith recently opened up to the Today Show about her daily fight with Alzheimers, and how she reacted when she was first diagnosed with the disease.
“I had tears in my eyes,” she told TODAY’s Al Roker. “But at the same time I also said, ‘I’m not going to give to it. I am going to fight.’”

Smith also shared a public service announcement that she had taped, in order to educated people of color about Alzheimer’s and encourage them to take cognitive tests.
