Rihanna Pays Homage to André Leon Talley at The Super Bowl

Rihanna paid homage to legendary editor André Leon Talley with her choice of wardrobe at yesterday’s long-awaited Super Bowl performance. She topped off her all-red ensemble with an oversized red puffer blanket coat. The bold custom look, designed by Alaïa, was inspired by a similar coat worn by Talley in 2021. Talley’s coat was designed by Norma Kamali, and worn for an ad for Uggs. The ads featured Talley at his New York Home.

Rihanna and André Leon Talley were close friends, with Talley even styling star. Talley famously chose the viral Guo Pei couture gown that Rihanna wore to the Met Gala in 2015.

Talley’s instagram page, which remains active after his passing in January 2022, paid tribute to his close relationship with Rihanna.
