While speaking about the importance of girls’ education during a the U.S-Africa’s Leader’s Summit with Laura Bush, First Lady Michelle Obama quipped, “women are smarter than men.”

But don’t worry, our First Lady isn’t sexist (gasp),she was adding levity to the conversation when speaking of the correlation between the between oppression of women and the political and economic struggles in some countries. Sadly some didn’t get the joke, missing her message altogether, thus proving her point.
