The 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles this past Saturday, April 12th. The event featured some of our favorite actors, advocates, models and media personalities. The awards show was chock full of positivity and moving, inspiring speeches.

Ellen Page presented an award to Laverne Cox. In a passionate speech, Cox thanked GLAAD and all of those who have supported her, but also reminded the audience that we have a lot of work to do in the fight for the rights ans safety of trans men and women.

Naomi Campbell talked how integral LGBT individuals have been in the fashion industry and voiced her support for trans models.

Lupita Nyong’o presented the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Documentary to “Bridegroom” and “Call Me Kuchu“.
